Certificate Chat Setup

Payments by TradePending Certificate Chat instructions for the Facebook Messenger platform.

Overview

Integrate the Facebook Messenger experience directly into Payments by TradePending and allow your customers to interact with your business from their payment certificate with the same personalized, rich-media experience they get in Facebook Messenger.

Basic Instructions

To enable the Payments by TradePending Certificate Chat plugin for your dealership, you must complete the following steps using your business's Facebook Page.

Step 1 — Whitelist our Domain

For security reasons, the plugin will only render when you have whitelisted the app.autoapr.com domain on your business's Facebook Page. To whitelist our domain, you must do the following:

1. As a Page admin, Login to your Facebook account and go to your Page.
   1. From News Feed, click Pages in the left side menu (https://www.facebook.com/pages).
   2. Click your Page name to go to your Page.
2. From Manage Page, click Settings in the left side menu.
3. From Page Settings, click Advanced Messaging in the left side menu.
4. In the Whitelisted Domains section, add our domain as shown below:

Step 2 — Retrieve your Facebook Page ID

To link your business's Facebook Page with Payments by TradePending, we need to know your Page ID. To find your Page ID, do the following:

1. As a Page admin, Login to your Facebook account and go to your Page.
   1. From News Feed, click Pages in the left side menu (https://www.facebook.com/pages).
   2. Click your Page name to go to your Page.
2. Click About at the top of your Page. If you don't see it, click More.
3. Scroll down to find your Page ID below MORE INFO.

Once you have your Page ID, email it to your contact at Payments by TradePending (or to our support team). Make sure you copy the entire value.

Step 3 — Verification

Once we receive your Facebook Page ID, we can enable Payments by TradePending Certificate Chat on the payment certificates for your dealership. We will notify you once the setup has been completed on our end. You will know everything is working correctly when you see the chat bubble appear in the bottom right corner of payment certificate pages.
